Kalshi said it plans to use the funding to scale the engineering team, launch new market structures, and collaborate with new partners.<\/p>\n<p>This comes less than a day after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/06\/24\/polymarket-on-the-verge-of-raising-usd200m-at-usd1b-valuation-report\">reports emerged<\/a> that Polymarket was raising $200 million at a valuation of $1 billion, led by Peter Thiel&#8217;s Founders Fund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/polymarketanalytics.com\/markets\">Publicly available data from Kalshi&#8217;s API<\/a> curated by Polymarket Analytics (not affiliated with Polymarket) shows that Kalshi has around $113 million in current active trading volume across all open markets, while Polymarket has just under $600 million.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.sanity.io\/images\/s3y3vcno\/production\/f64358857e4449e1af1643f67b73768aecb57ad6-1913x447.png?auto=format\" alt=\"(Polymarket Analytics)\" title=\"(Polymarket Analytics)\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kalshi now hosts more active markets than Polymarket, but remains behind in open interest, a key metric that reflects liquidity and trader conviction in prediction markets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/rchen8\/polymarket\">A Dune dashboard<\/a> shows that Polymarket has around 186,000 active traders.<\/p>\n<p>Paradigm led Kalshi&#8217;s latest round. The crypto-focused VC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/06\/23\/hyperliquid-rival-gte-raises-usd15m-in-series-a-led-by-paradigm\">recently led the Series A round for GTE<\/a>, a decentralized exchange (DEX) that looks to rival HyperLiquid in speed.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Donald Trump Jr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/mollybohannon\/2025\/01\/13\/donald-trump-jr-joins-prediction-market-kalshi\/\">announced he was joining Kalshi<\/a> as a senior advisor. <\/p>\n<p>UPDATE (June
